So my horn and interior lights don't work, guessing its the fuse, read the manual... Ok, turn off circuit and remove fuse... So... How do I turn off the interior light circuit? It's a 200tdi. Feel so noob ;-;

Its not the same as household electrics. At best you could disconnect the battery to 'turn the circuit off' so to speak, but that really is overkill and more dangerous than just changing the fuse.

Its fuse 2 I believe. A 20A (yellow) one. Just pull it out and put a new one in. Job done.

I recently got an alarm, with the fuse out its making some angry beeping noises so I am guessing it's hooked up to the same circuit, that's why it's sparking even with everything connected to the fuse off

Sparking when? Just when you connect or disconnect the fuse? or at other times?

That fuse is a permanent live. The battery is connected to the engine bay fuse box, which feeds that fuse (and one other I think) via brown wires. The purple wires then go off to feed other stuff that needs to be working without ignition being on (Interior light and horn being two of them).

Without knowing anything about your alarm, I'd say its either taking its feed from that fuse (because the alarm needs to work when ignition is off), or is using a point further down that circuit it to sense when the doors are open (i.e. opening the doors causes the light to come on, so some alarm systems use a current drain across the interior light to detect if someone has opened the door).

I'd guess that your alarm has a built in battery, which is why it is making noises. Basically it is telling you there is something wrong with that circuit.

A small spark across any fuse when you pull it or replace it is quite normal and nothing to worry about.

i have a Cheapo Alarm fitted to mine, only there to make a noise really.. but iv wired that direct into the back of the interior light fuse so everytime someone opens the door and interior light comes on it goes off..
I imagine your alarm works on the same principles.. if its bleeping while that fuse is down..

As for changing the fuse, just wip it out and bang a new one in, no pussy footing around man, "whispers" its only a fuse!
