Hi,
Just a quickie but, as tomorrow is VCU replacement day I wondered whether anyone had had any joy removing and replacing the VCU in its housing with the O/P flange attached without having to remove the Chassis crossmember ?
I have a refurbished VCU pressed into its housing with the Flange re-attached all ready to go and I'm hoping to only have to undo the prop shaft and the 6 blots holding the housing in place.
I know RAVE says to remove the chassis cross member and support the gearbox but I wondered whether it was possible to make the switch without having to go through this step (as the bolts are likely rusted solid)
Thanks again
Bob
