I bought a new fulcrum after bashing the old one to pieces trying to get it out.

Helps if you heat up the socket that the joint sits in with a welding torch first
Only takes about twenty smacks with the sledge to get it out then!

Sounds about right for me too
Bring it down when you fetch the chassis and I'll swap it for you, Well if it makes it easier that is.
