Series 3 Certificate of conformity - where to get it from?

I will be buying a S3 1983 Petrol 109 in LHD (see my earlier posts) as the VIN is clear on both chassis and plate, which I need for export.

I will probably need a certificate of conformity to register abroad...any ideas where to get one from? I'm assuming if a car is registered in the UK then a COC must exist/be obtainable?
