Centre silencer delete pipe

Hi all, I've seen quite a few companies offering a delete pipe for the 300tdi centre silencer. Apart from presumably sounding different, is there any advantage in using this?

It will reduce back pressure and give a slight increase in power. As for the sound I never noticed much diffrence when I fitted straight through pipe to my 200Tdi

As above although mine is on a 300tdi and it is a bit louder than with centre silencer.....(even) more tractor like now

Not much of a difference, but you can get a stainless one for the price of a mild steel silencer.

That's what I did on my 200TDI. No real noticeable difference in noise or power.....There is when you start the engine with no centre section fitted though
