After a bit of forum hunting and googling, it seems the issue with my naff central locking, is most likely due to worn out/tired motors.
All post seem to be filled with people content with spending £65+VAT on each unit, and just swapping them out - with only a single brief mention of repairing using aftermarket solenoids.
So, unless one already exists, and I'm just being blind - would people like a walkthrough of how to adapt aftermarket solenoids in place of a faulty unit? Mine are due to turn up next week
