Central locking issue??

Yo guys,

Anyone help me on the following topic??

zapped my car with the plipper at tesco today to lock it, and everything was fine.. However when i got back i zapped it to unlock it, indicators flash as usual, but only back door locks pop up?? Bith drivers door and passenger door locks stay down, so i have to unlock them with the key (how 80's is that)

The wierd thing is, if i press the button inside on the centre console to lock all the doors, they all go down, and all pop back up when i unlock.. Same if use the key.. they all lock/unlock like they should.. but if i use the zapper, they all lock, but now only the back doors and boot unlock?? Whats all that about?? :doh:

Any ideas chaps??

Surely this is a simple fix?

sounds like failing door lock solenoids, budget £75 per side for new lock assembly, allow about 3/4 hour per side.

There can be nothing wrong with the door locks if they open from the switch inside the car!
OP try blipping the unlock on the remote several times to see if the locks are sticky.
If not I suggest carefully checking the battery in the car, if the voltage is getting low electronics do weird stuff....
Had a VW van once that would wind on the battery for ages but would not start, new battery and problem solved!
Optimus prime, your time for changing door locks must be based on a practiced routine, took me that long to get the door panel off and remove the old one!!


Or did you mean 3 or 4 hours? 3/4 of an hour........?
