Hi haven`t posted for a while but hope somebody can help please, bought a 58 plate 2.7 sport before christmas and had no problems until last week
when if i left the car unlocked at work when i went to start it. it would turn over really sluggish. but if i locked it ,it was fine .so last night i forgot to lock it on my drive and this morning wouldn`t start. when we had the snow it turned over fine, now when you sit in the car you can hear both passenger door locks faintly clicking until it is locked and then it stops. anybody had this problem before. any advice very much appreciated .

Plus 1 to the battery , should see a min of 12.6 Vdc with the engine off and around 14.5Vdc with it running

Indeed when it’s locked the modules will go into a sleep state after 30 x mins , therefore reduce the battery draining

Unless there’s a parasitic drain where something isn’t turning off

Need to also ensure the battery terminals and earths are all ok

Hope that also helps

Make sure you fully charge your new battery before fitting it.
