Freelander 2 (LR2) Cd player

i wanted to change my CD player in my freelander 2 from a single to a 6 disc but when I fitted the 6 disc unit could not get the player to work.does it need programming or do I need the front control unit too?

You need to change the the config on the car to say it’s got a 6 disc changer fitted

I thought all FL2 had 6 CD changer already fitted under the front driver seat ?

So did I. And with @150 MP3 tracks on each you can have @900 songs to listen to without getting bored.

6cd changer was located behind the radio faceplate on FL2

Under the seat is just the sat nav disc drive

You're right. I'm wrong, except for the bit about 900+ MP3s

Something learned every day, i thought it was under the seat
