Is it because it’s not an MP3 player? Put your music on an MP3 player which plugs into fag lighter and transmits to your radio.

when you've written the disc have you closed it? It's been a while since I put stuff on cd's but I seem to remember that the disc had to be closed to be used in anything other than the computer that wrote it

As @Mick X11 said, the disc has to be finalised. I've also found in similar situations that burning the disc at lower speed can help (though it shouldn't).
Remember, burn it as an audio CD not data CD.

help from anyone please tried every down load going and done all every one has asked nothing works thanks all

But you haven't answered any of the questions you were asked. How are you creating the audi CDs - what software are you using etc. Tell us how exactly you did the CDs and we can probably help.

sorry all. my wife has been doing this for me as i am u.s. on computers.she has been tring to do this for 2 weeks now.You tube and click plus more and, windows media.she knows what she is doing.the recorded disc plays on the computer and hi fi in the house BUT NOT in the dam car.she has given up and cheesed of with it all

You need to know what format the music files are saved to the disc.
For the car CD player to play the disc, the content must be CDA and it needs to be closed. Saving files as WMA or MP3 simply won't work on the car, as those formats were very new when the car was made.

YouTube has had a clamp down on what can be saved and what can't.
Because of this, the software you use may or may not save the required track.

thanks nodge68 that make sense. I have decided to go the fag lighter plugin MP3 player route - didn't know you could get these so its been a real learning experience here lol. Many thanks to everyone for all your help - appreciated.

Sorry bud no I don't it wasn't long before I changed the radio because I wanted hands free amongst other things
