I’ve just fitted a second hand 6cd auto changer which I got from ebay.
I connected it all up and everything seems to work but I’m not getting any sound!!
You can hear a small pop when u turn it on then a very quite hiss, so they are working!
Anybody got any idears?? Could it be some sort of security thing??

Thanks.

I honestly thought that a cd changer worked ok when you got music out of the speakers but apparently I am wrong in this since you say "everything seems to work but I'm nog getting any sound" ???:D :D(joking)

Sorry, is the amplifier ok and correctly connected ??

yeah should be....

I managed to get the Key code and VID into it which went in no probs!

i'm wondering if its to do with the extra socket on the autochanger:

The grey socket on the left aint on my old one! not sure what its for??

Sorry for these problems, did you try the website of the make of the CD changer and check if you can get hold of a description to find out what the extra socket is meant for ?? (or ask advice at a specialised firm installing car radios, alarms etc ... these guys should normally know almost all makes on the market ??)

I've sent an e-mail to the people who make it with no reply and i've searched the web with no luck :(

I'm wondering if its part of the speakers or something?

In my opinion yes, because the pop up and hiss are in my opinion coming from the amplifier/tuner getting powdered up but that no soundsignal is coming out of the "music" part (that extra plug) towards the speakers ? (sorry, not technical at all, just guessing).

maybe just maybe thats why it was on ebay? sorry mate!
or are you sure its grounded proper?
if so unplug changer and see if the radio works on its own if so its deff the changer but i shouldnt think so??????
