Can anyone confirm that just swapping the CCU on the back of the fuse box ( same part no) has no effect
on the immobiliser system

Immobilisation is ok but will lose remotes as they need programming in to the CCU.

What issue you got with the CCU that you need to replace it?

It is possibly a fault with the central locking system , the doors were all locked when i got the vehicle,
am just slowly sorting it out . The alarm arms and disarms on the fob , but the door system wouldnt unlock
so have managed to unlock the doors by backfeeding the loom from an external battery , any ideas ?

Do you have RAVE and the wiring diagrams?

If so start checking the system at various points to check the outputs/inputs are getting where they need to be using a multimeter.

Do the doors unlock when external power is applied to them?

Have got all doors bar boot open , am working thru it , was hoping it was common , and you were going to tell me the secret :) have rave , hawkeye, multimeter , and some patience :)

If you have hawkeye and can get a ccu cheap enough try that first by programming in remotes and checking settings are right for the car - 3/5 door etc!

Well all sorted , the CCU are a NLA part from Landrover . but several are superceded part numbers .
so 000492 , 493 and 494 which go to 500210 and 211 are interchangable on 5 door TD4 AFAICS ,
was able to program the plippers with Hawkeye so all fully operational now. :)

May I ask what version of software your running on the hawkeye? It will say v5 or v6 etc when first switching on. Just wondering.
