CB radio fitting

I am just completing the purchase of my first LandRover Discovery 3 and am taking delivery in a few days. I have chopped in my old Toyota Hi-Lux that has served me faithfully for the last 4 years, we use 4x4's because we have a caravan and they're much better for towing. I had a full CB rig in my Surf but there seems to be some issue about fitting it into the Disco, something to do with the signal thats put out from the arial that can interfere with electronic devices??? If possible I want to have a CB rig in the Disco but dont want to blow it up in the process!
I have asked the dealer who has been very non-commital so was wondering if anyone here can answer this for me. FYI the Disco is a series 3 2006 2.7TD.

Wouldn't have thought so, as neither the car or CB would pass ECC approvals.

I've never heard anyone mention it before either, can you imagine if i keyed up as I drove past you on the motorway and your car conked out?!

ive never heard of a CB inerfearing with a vehicles electrics or sensors, as said before if it did they would probs be illegal

if memory serves me right buckshot had this very issue with his td5 90 not sure if got a solution

somebody mention my name?
i found it the other way around its the electronics on the motor fookin up the cb have ate 2 differant cb's
could be just coincidence and both the "old rigs" were not good in the first place, but both only lasted around a day then gave up the ghost

i have a cb in my 200 tdi, if i key up for over 5 or six seconds, the wipers go off on one, and it blows the inline fuse to the cb......
i dont know how or what the guy wired it to but its great with the ignition off lol.
