Yes, Bob. When it was rebuilt I used the noise deadening stuff but condensation still appeared at all of the joints. However, having covered the roof and top of the lining with closed cell insulation (B&Q) I have had no issue with condensation from the roof. That is not to say that she is totally dry; the doors just let rain straight in - a job for Summer.
The window blanks had three layers of closed cell insulation glued on before the carpet was added. I intend to cover the remainder of the rear but not without fully insulating it first. I would never carpet the floor because, as you imply, it would act like a sponge!!!
Was it their High Temp Spray Adhesive?
