I swapped the solex on mine with an SU. Best thing i ever did. 2.25 engine but that's not really relevent
SU gave a vast improvement.Mines is long gone I only have oil burners now.
It did totally change the way it drove, especially on the hills quite thirsty as well.

Thanks folksMine had a weber 34 single barrel but I changed it for a twin 32/34 iirc.
A couple of pics of the carb would be helpful with the air filter removed, all carbs are stamped with a number to id them.
How do you know its a weber & not a solex or zenith or other.
