depends wat size it is,i worked on super tankers for shell yrs ago and the capstan winches weighed tonnes....

Only read this query today - no serious replies so I took the bathrom scales down to the garage and weighed the capstan winch I have laying in a corner - 35kilos

Probably the reason he didn't get an answer was because no one else has ever bothered to weigh their winch.
