Canvas Top to Hard Top?

Hi all, newbie here trying to get some info befor buying his first defender. My question is the following:

Is there an aftermarket hard top that transforms an ex-MoD canvas top 110 or defender 110 into a 110 station wagon or 110 hardtop? Has to be ex-MoD or ex utility company, as where I am living, a normal 110 makes you look like a price idiot rich boy trying o look cool, whereas the matt paintjob does all the difference, makes it look like the workhorse it is...

I plan to do some travelling, but cannot see myself going to dodgy countries with my belongings only protected by a sheet of canvas. Moreover, a roof rack would be nice and its just too complicated to have a good one on a rag top 110.

Try Ebay and get a pot of paint.

Just a thought (**** I've started thinking) but if you go to dodgy countries in a camouflaged ex army 110 wouldn't that be asking for trouble?

Yeah, I had the intention to paint it over in matt white or sand colour to avoid to be shelled by some fellahs taking me for some kind of enemy army scout....Tanks for pointing it out, though...

I understand your concerns about security, but I don't think a military hardtop is much more burglar-proof than a bit of canvas. It is easier to fit a roof-rack to one though
