Can't Stop Smoking

Hi Guys
Disco 2 TD5 1999, 100k miles. I have tried all the fuel additives, changed filters etc, but she still smokes under power especially in 3rd, cars behind back off when i put my foot down or is mine that quick, tweaking the fuel pump i was told? I have a feeling its one or all of the injectors, how will i tell? Are they expensive? Much of a job? So many questions. I understand they are under the rocker cover. My MOT is due in Jan and I feel it will fail on this. Help.
PS. black smoke, not loosing any oil or water, EGR temporary disabled.

TD5 has no injection pump.

EITHER one of the five injectors is duff or the computer is needing attention.

It might just be another "oil in wiring loom" situations. That would be good.

Swansea. I had it chipped a few months ago, there was little or no difference, she smoked just as much before, but what a change in performance. Whawww.
