the only way i can think of is to knock the lock through but youl obviously destroy it  hard luck chap...by the way welcome to the forum...
cheers mate, also do you know, when i get my new keys etc, will they fit my doors etc

Obviously this is to get fuel in. So to save ruining your lock:

You might be able to get in at the rubber pipe, behind the filler neck, unclip it and put fuel in there, I wouldn't do it at the garage, put it in a jerry can and figure out something when you get it home.

so if u lost ur key whats the reason for them ordering a new barrel?

your key will be made to the key number that is specific to ur car so yes it will fit doors,

if they say it takes 2 weeks then that must be due to ur car being later than an 01 model year and the transponder is in the key, so it has to be made fresh with ur vehicles security tag in it :)

getting a new barrel as the barrel in it was not the original one, nightmare so far. hope things get better, i have an little oil leak which no one can find where its coming from.cant find a back of the wing mirror anywhere, and shes going in weds for some work at the back, apart from that its ok

Illegal to drive without a filler cap? ha... I drove half across the country, then I got a call to tell me that my filler cap was sitting in the driveway. When I got to where I was going my friend noticed diesel all up the side of me LR.

Another problem I forsee regarding the lit match in the hole, is that you may need to take your freelander in for some extensive repair work afterwards.
