Wasn't there a post earlier, that said if you have a rod rather than cable operated handbrake then you wont have an adjuster? Have you check which you have? If its a 200TDI then it might be a rod, not cable

It's a cable, I might have missed the adjuster as I was in a bit of pain when I was looking (arthritis) and had to have two goes at having a look with a rest in between. terrible thing old age yer know, cant do things like yer used to and yer eyes wear out

mines 1994 200tdi, so is landowners so surely they should be the same?
but agree that it needs checking to see which his has
