Cannot get car open

Hi,went to open my disco 2 today and nothing is happening,put a new battery in fob and still nothing,tried spare key and still nothing,noticed the tailgate door was not shut properly although it was locked,shut it and still nothing,Help please...

dont the doors have a key hole?

try the key, check battery, charge it up...

yup sounds like battery may be dead so central locking won't work.

OK,looks like battery is flat,key will not open driver door,mechanism knacked,can any suggest how to get under bonnet or in car without breaking windows

get a coat hanger and go fishing in the door cavity via the window rubber. see if you can unlock it.

Lay underneath it and connect Jump leads to positive on starter and negative to anywhere metal on engine and then unlock with fob.

Does positive to the reversing light switch work too...or is that just VW's?

I usually do oil pressure switch on vw's

Not tried it on a disco 2 tbh

Had similar on my Peugeot 307 just the other day. Was a prise open the door, wire on the window-winder, crawl in and release bonnet job - the guys at work won't let that rest for a few weeks...months...lol

I popped open a defender for someone while I was at the Bristol and west show last weekend. Dunno what made me chuck my lockout kit into my landy.
