Hi all, can anyone recommend an easy solution for stopping my mirrors from automatically moving when i select reverse (2001 P38 Range rover)
Kind regards
Chris
Thanks for the advise, it sounds like a good place to start by any means. I hope it is as simple as that, i had a horrible thought it might involve chopping wires....
What is BECM by the way, is that the in dash warning message jobbie?
v8rly,
BECM stands for Body Electronic Control Module. It is located under a the big plastic cover in the left hand front corner of the engine bay.

Start off with your normal position for the mirror, ign on and in reverse, adjust mirror to where you want it when reversing, press memory seat and either button 1 or 2.
To disable the function, ign on and in reverse, press and hold memory seat for 2 seconds - should then be a message in the dash saying 'mirror dip off'.
To re-enable - same again.
