Can front lamps be upgraded !!

Hi again Guys,
First of all i want to commend all of you and a fantastic and most deffinatly the best landrover forum i have come across.(Just like one big happy family in here)...

Anyway what i would like to know is can my Y Reg TD4 Fromt lamps be upgraded to the new shape ones or at least different.
The ones fitted now were obviously standard fit at the time but they have that frosty look to them on the glass.
I would really like the clear glass as in the new shape..

Hi Freelander 4ever ,like the name, and glad yer like the site [got some right odd balls though] yes to your question there a guy that has done it on another sight and he gives all the details of changing to look like the new face lift style, the site is a bit high brow compared to this loada rabble[but no fun] so on your earth puter browser thing type in, freelanders owners.com ,that should work,ya will have to forage about to find the thread ,but it will cover all ya need to know. . .

mmm just had a look as Mr Ming suggested and to be truthfull it does look quite complicated.
The reason being i was hoping for a more or less straight fit with the new for old.
I saw some kit advertised on ebay (I just typed in Freelander angel lights) and apparantly some guy reckons it will do the mod easily but i have me doubts.

Got to admit i thought the same [lot of fiddly work] but it looks the dogs when finished, i doubt very much that you will get those type lights to fit without cutting bits orft the plastic. . .

Read a magazine in WHSmith the weekend, Landrover enthusiast I think, there was a shop that did the front end upgrade complete including bumper, lamps, fitting and spray for £1400.

If you change to the new lamps then you will need to change the bumper, the lamps are not a direct replacement due to the shape.
