After fitting a new radiator and a new hose(the triple one fromthe headertank)
I went for a cruise in the snow today , but when I came home I couldn´t open the drivers (lhd) door , works allright from outside , and the c-lock works as it should , but when I try to open from inside nothing happens , there is the "springy" resistans but it doesn´t unlock .
Ideas ?

doesn´t open at all , I tried to push the button down , tried to unlock with the key from outside , everything except the interior "dooropening handle" works fine , is it possible that something has frozen ? don´t think so really because it works fin from the outside but..

link and cable is likely , but why is there still "normal" feel when pulling the handle , is there a seperate spring ?
 
My old p38 did this from time to time of the lhs when really cold! guessing it was water freezing in the mech cos if I left it ideling with heaters on full after about an hour it opened fine
 
My old one did that too, now and then, 1 screw behind inside handle out and reattach cable with long nose pliers. No need for door card removal
 
off course the cable had snapped , so, how do I remove the door side , without breaking it ??
 
?que? it´s the front left door trim I need to take out , must be enough to just open the door and remove ,what ever I need to ,to get the trim out?

Think he was referring to reattaching the cable not replacing it. Cannot remember if there is enough room to remove the door card without removing the seat. Two screws in the grab handle, one screw under the speaker cover which prises off using a small scraper ,and one screw that hold the handle backing then pull the door card off its clips. Disconnect speaker wires and you have access. Hope I haven't forgotten anything, I will soon be corrected if I have.:D

Think he said he could open door from outside, so access for door card removal is not a problem. :)

Did you try as I said? Of-course you did how else would you know the steel wire cable snapped before the plastic attachment:cool:
