got hold of a 1972 lwb 2.25 petrol and decided to convert it to a go anywhere camper with a pop up roof (Dormobile style). I've never attempted any thing like this before so asking if anyone has done something similar for advice and pitfalls.
Chassis is sound and just needs a wire brush and waxoyl, replaced floor pans and a couple of break cylinders, now all good, rebuilt carb and engine and gearbox are sweet as a nut and all the fluids and filters have been replaced.
any advice most welcome

I havent a clue how easy it would be or even where to start, but i get the feeling a roof tent with awning would be a much more versatile way of doing it, you'd have more options and at the end of the day you've got a normal landy if you take the tent away, not some frankenstein bodge job.

Dormobile still produce roofs for Series (and 110) Land Rovers.

I talked to them a couple of weeks ago at an Overland show where we (LRCC) were exhibiting and they were quoting around £2,200 for a DIY fitted roof and around £3,000 fully fitted.

Cheers,
Robin.
