Hi new on here and new to the breed I have a 1995 110 My problem is i have a leaky near side C V joint I have asked a garage for a price to fix it and was told £250 plus this seems a bit steep to me . Does this seem about right to you people who know better if not can anyone point me in the direction of somebody who wont rip me off in the west lancs/north west area
Thanks

Buy yourself a manual. Get a swivel refurb kit from paddocks or somewhere for about 15 quid and spend a few hours taking it to bits and putting it back together again with new seals, etc. Job's a good un. 250 quid my arse.

Andy...I busted my CV seals ....... http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/what-have-i-broken-see-pics-81811.html
I took a chance and a mate of mine replaced the fluid with 'one shot'... its thicker and does the same job. It worked for me and not a hint of a leak since. 8 months later is went through the MOT. Try it first.... fook all to lose and £250 to save. :) You can do it yourself...... (I didn't) so if anyone can tell Andy how to do it sure it will help.

A guy local to me comes round your house and will do it. I know someone how has just had it done for £170, but me I would do it myself.
