Hi everyone, i am new here and new to the landrover scene as my volco xc90 has just gone of to the scrap yard, i am looking at buying a discovery 3 SE 2.7 this weekend with 135,000 miles on the clock on a 57 plate, the car is in really good condition and its all singing and dancing is there anything that i should be looking for when having a good look around the car? as i dont want to be burnt with my cash. any help is needed i know its a old car and its not brand new there gonna be a nock here and there and repairs i just dont want to get into a mess with it, thank you everyone!

Welcome :).

Have a look at (think) @gstuart buyer guide it’s here somewhere.
Personally (thats me) I would not go near a V6 in the JLR flavour. Too many unexpected engine failures.

Now that isn’t to say they all break cranks, and many have put many reliable miles on them.

We own 3 LRs so I am by no means saying they are not a car to own:). But they can be high maintenance.
