Buying a 110 in U.K advice!

Hi

Having lived in France now for over 20 years could some bod give me a bit of advice on paperwork & how to buy a decent 110 sw in the U.K.Bit of work not a problem as him's had LR's for years,as long as I can drive it back to France first,rough body work not a problem either as it will be used for laneing/off road,200 or 300tdi,anything considered as long as it's not a rotten,botched bitch!-

1.Realisticaly what could I get for £5 or £6K? and where would be the best place to look? On evil bay they are selling (not) for silly money!

2.How would I get on with them there camera's that check you for insurence on the way back as I would be insureing it in France.

3.Paperwork still the same? V5, mot, olt else?

4.Noticed that a lot of sellers won't release vehicle until cheque/bank draft cleared, what about cash? they want to take that to the bank too to check it?

5.Anything else I've missed, need to know?

Getting it registered etc in France not a prob as I've done it a few times over the years-it's the U.K bit!

Like I said storm99 is in denmark and he buys em from over here, he must get em over there somehow.
