james martin they came from Famous four, and where in the dreaded blue bag....they served a purpose but not built to last!

ive never seen britpart sell blue springs only yellow or black so not britpart, bearmach are blue ,famous four sell their own which may be blue im not sure never bought any from there ,as well as others i believe like all retailers who sell from all wholesalers, plus bp ones come in a box

fair one james, no box so in that case not britpart. Still poor though, not even 12 months out of them..

100 months and you want more  :p

the genuine ones seem to have an extra coil on them.

pulling the wheels this weekend to check the brakes as I think it is pulling up to the right. Done the offside and they look good, pins all move, pistons coming out even and pads half done. Need to spin it around the other side (I park against a hedge) and check the nearside tomorrow.
Everywhere seems to be deep in water at moment and it could be that constant submersion has made one calliper a bit lazy

Well I only managed to get bolts today, didn't even do any of the jobs in the house as I got involved in a job at my mate's garage which ended in a ladder vs gravity incident, in the garage now though and about to go get a take away so might get something done at last!

Cheers Bigvinnie,
My springs are a also a bit tired, think I might stump up for OEM ones looking at your pics.
mikegsxr.

Going to try and fix my wheel bearing. remove the heater box, Heater fan didn't work when I bought it, Had a look yesterday and there's no fan in there

and fit a radio.

Mike was out the morning wea the dogs and went up the training area. Could feel the difference both on and off the road from the front end. Feels tighter just by replacing the springs. For 60 quid a spring I,m more than happy. its 70 quid a spring for the rear, next job..when funds allow.

the wagon also no longer leans towards the front r/h side....my fault fiited cheap pish.....want some Old man emu springs but there pricey!

its cold here so might wait till I,m in work for the half shaft repalcemnt.

mine was to go to the tip and then for a nice long walk in the hills...

but i noticed a bolt loose on the alt... went to tighten it and found both bolt mounts to engine were sheared off.

spent all day drilling, tapping and fixing.. maybe next week eh

Managed to get wife's old Clio to tech guy on the trailer, came home to tow back her Honda. I wondered why it was hard to tow? Got home to find she hasn't taken hand brake off. My temp gauge now nearly tops out for some reason. Managed to sort out my reverse light prob today and do some welding on a neighbour lads yammy frame. Not a bad weekend.

replaced all the felt and cracked plastic runners on the csw slidding windows, with a replacement rubber felt seal from woollies .

Not to bad a job, no more rattling no more draft and fingers crossed no more water coming in!

half shafts can wait till work this week or next weekend!...was **** weather here the day
