I've been looking at doing the same too. Mainly because the neighbours hate me tinkering with lr's and have reported me to the council/police, more than once.
I actually feel like I'm being harassed and watched, but I really can't justify the cost of renting a unit :(

I live in a semi rural area so a 100 200yds between houses.

A few years ago a new neighbour moved in , who I now know to be a director of a certain art institute therefore up his own arse and completely self righteous and can be aggravating and will have loud parties, block roads with parking etc etc etc but hes allowed:mad:

Anyway when he moved in he came to see me whilst I was tinkering on my old series and declared " I paid a bit to much money to live near filth like you" I was to stunned to do anything.
The next day he pumped out his pond onto our front garden and when I complained and pulled out the hose he declared that "someone like me shouldnt be bothered by pond slime"

now was it working on landrovers(my own not business ,I was student at time) that made me working class filth in his thespian arty farty mind?

should have put his hose in his lounge window :d

what a dick.

my neighbours are actually really good - like you im semi rural, i keep the garden tidy and only have the side of the house behind the garage where i store my stuff and i also dont leave it for long periods without making progress on it- couple of my neighbours are into old farm machinery another into autograss racing so you can imagine what its like.

When I win tomorrow's rollover, just want to buy some land to put a few big barns and small one to live in, want something away from cities/towns or busy villages but within distance of 1/2 mile of any neighbour. So I can do what I want, when I want and how I want. Is that too much to ask.... Would let landies in all the time though

lol, wow... not fun

but back in the days of you being a student, it was a different world... pre-industrial and such.. we had a greater class divide
