the minimum size for something to pass an SVA is 3mm. so 3mm wire would pass an SVA and the camel left the factory with them. i think they would have a hard time stopping you tbh

you'd need to convince a judge that all of this is bollixs, Irrelevant, and that it doesn't apply to you cos yu is special!!

Section40A road traffic act 1988 as amended by the road Traffic ACT 1991 States

A person is guilty of an offence if he or she uses,or causes or permits anther to use,a motor vehicle.....on a road ...when the condition of the vehicle...or of it,s accessories or equipment...is such that the use of the motor vehicle involves a DANGER of injury to any person !!!!

So there you are !!! BUT my Bushcables can be removed when not NEEDED !!!!

Breaking news this statement is from the top dog At the Ministery of transport I received regarding Bushcables

Thank you for your email regarding bush cables. Your email has been passed to me as we deal with external projections on vehicles.
I’ve spoken with one of our engineers and we cannot find anything specifically related to bush cables in any of our regulations.
However, regulation 100 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) regulations refers to danger on external projections on a vehicle. Regulation 53 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) regulations refers to mascots on a vehicle, and while this is no way a mascot, the principle is the same. If an accident occurred a person could be very seriously injured if they came into contact with these cables.

While this could be argued in court over interpretation, in our opinion, these cables are not legal when mounted on a vehicle, as in the picture provided, when on a highway.

..is such that the use of the motor vehicle involves a DANGER of injury to any person !!

so actually the law which could get you in trouble is also the 'get out' they use for everything non standard. ie winch bumpers, mascots, additional lumps etc.

I would say the issue would only rise IF someone got injured specifically by them, but i'm fairly sure that it you didn't hit them you would still have to contend with the windscreen pillar...or god forbid a roll cage!!

as they are within the most external part of the vehicle its even less of a concern.

the real answer is no one knows as there is no precedent as no one has ever been done for it.
