It should not need to be.One would like to think the perpetrators simply didn't know the significance of the mound. Was it fenced off or protected in anyway?
There's signs up saying no vehicles. One would like to think the perpetrators simply didn't know the significance of the mound. Was it fenced off or protected in anyway?

After 25 years of Time Team the whole bloody nation knows the significance of lumps in the ground. No viable excuses for this one.Totally agree but I was just hoping it was a naive mistake rather than a deliberate wanton act!

Did you not do history at school? Have you never looked on an OS map and seen the tumulus symbols? You assume everyone has watched time team, I never have and I have no knowledge of these burial humps either.

Not only that, I'd like to think that at some point in their selfish, greedy lives they would have picked up enough basic literacy to read the signs which are clearly displayed.Also.its not assumptions, I'd like to think that all 4x4 drivers know the OS maps. Especially if you drive off road.
The only wild assumption is that you might have some form.of education and life experience. I apologise for those assumptions.More wild assumptions!
