Last time I uploaded a photo it was upside down ! Apparently it to do with the iPhone .
I rotated this one on purpose but they have obviously fixed it !

Then if it was a supplier i would never spend my money there ever again. Did i say ever ever again. they clearly have no understanding of what they are selling and how its setup.
What he said ^^^ the red section is there to tell you that your on the last wrap of cable on the drum and that you should stop winching out.
Also, that hawse or fairlead you have is for rope, its aluminium, if you were to pull on the wire rope against the ali, it will just cut into it and destroy it. You ned to use a steel one for wire rope.
Like you said, get your synthetic rope on there before you nee to use the winch in anger.
Just my 2p worth anyway.
