I've seen these on an ex-MoD Landy on eBay but cannot find them anywhere.
Has anybody any idea where I might get one?

I don't know sorry, don't like them either.
Does the towing pin work on that ? If it dose how thick is the bumper 5 or 6 mm ?

I had one and sold it at the last 4x4 spares day they are quite rare and hold their money.

I have seen people ask upwards of £300 second hand for them as they are from a specific military landrover sertup with space for a spare wheel on the front.

That doesn't look like an ex-mod one... too new, headlight surrounds and wrong indicator and side lights. It's a military bumper but not sure about bull bars, as above maybe specialist mil.

That's from a snatch landrover, they do come up for sale sometimes on eBay but they are very expensive. You might get one from hobsons industries give them a ring.
But be warned the mod did modify these bull bars for the desert and cut the middle bit off.

Thanks; I've now looked on their website and they have a photo of a stack of Defender Chassis all fitted with them!
I've emailed them.

The bumper is a standard military one. The towing pin does work but they are for towing only, not recovery.

As spook said the towing pin works. I've just got rid of a military bumper from mine. They're no thicker than standard but there is extra bracing on the inside. And my 90 has been recovered no problems whatsoever using the pin ;) just ask Deasy or Doc Evil. Might refit a mil bumper again if a nice decent one comes up for the right price

My bad, also spotted a 130 version or similar on the cover of LRO magazine.

I reckon the mil bumper can take being towed or lightly recovered but mine is slightly bent where it must have been tugged too hard by the squaddies.
