I am weighing up my options as to wether to repair my bulkhead which is surprisingly good apart from a few areas on the right and left sides where it is completely rotten or to buy new,
Any pointers to the best supplier and also the cheapest supplier would be most welcome, i am more leaning towards a replacement and fitting it myself but i have been advised that mine is repairable but this would, to ensure a neat finish getting somebody else to do the welding, its a 1968 2a 109 diesel

I have bought 2 bulkheads from Robert Owen and I highly recommend them. In both cases they fitted to Richard’s chassis with absolutely no fettling.

Thanks for the replies and info, i have used the links and have bought pillars, feet and repair panels from yrm, my 2a 109 has very severe but localised rot, mostly the footwells, tunnel, dash compartments and vents etc are all in very good condition and have never been welded, this '69 109 station wagon with a galv chassis (good) had been laid up in the same place for an age with water getting into it in localised areas, the worst rot is the r/hand pillar, this is completely gone but luckily the rot has not spread to the adjacent metalwork/sections, the other localised area is the flat area from the wiper motor compartment end plate to the pillar, i will be getting the wings and other neccesary parts off and welding it with the bulkhead in place, i may have to get a mobile welding service in to move it along a bit quicker than i could go but i am itching to get on the road,

Apologies here if you already know this but I quickly learned from doing mine to only cut out and fix small bits at a time. It gets very tempting to get rid of all the rust but you can end up with bigger holes than you meant too and stuff can then move and give you problems. Remember to show us lots of pictures when you get going. Good luck.

Thats just about how i was planning to go forward, the right hand pillar has to be done for the structural integrity so thats first, tbh its so bad that i wouldnt drive it without it being done and then i will most likely just cut out the rust and weld a 'do for now' plate over the wiper compartment to l/ hand upper pillar hole, i will take a pic of this hole 'as is' later,

I couldnt upload the pics here but i have put them on lruk and will try to get them on here and a few more progress pics if i get access to a laptop
