Ok so I have went to for the doors on ky Series 3after rebuilding the tub etc and the drivers one won't shut. I have measured the gap and it's 1cm tighter at the drivers side. When I got the car it had doors on it that wernt to bad out of alighnment and since i never removed the bulkhead thought I would be Ok. I have changed the doors from.Defender to Series. Am I right in assuming that there is no adjustment in the tub so the bulkhead will need shimmed? Now the other problem I've got is I have also bolted in the front end, seat box and floor plates etc as I'm a complete knob.
Do you think I will get away with just loosening everything off to adjust the Bulkhead?
Thanks.
Norrie.
Oh and yes everyday is a school day.

Ok a small update. The bulkhead isn't square. I.e. the door gaps are different on the drivers side it is tighter at the top than the bottom and on the passenger side it's tighter on the bottom than the top. Both bottoms read about 88cm. The top is 87 on the drivers and 89 on the passenger side.
So I would say the bulkhead doesn't need shimmed at the bottom but needs the lean angle adjusted at both sides. Is it just a case of loosening the 3 bolts that bolt to the chassis at each side to adjust the angle of the Bulkhead? Will I need to loosen the steering box etc?
Thanks .
Norrie.

Check to see if any shims between chassis and bulkhead brackets and bulkhead may need some removing. [by steering box on drivers side]
You will get some movement on the three bolts but if the shims are there might be better to adjust them also.

Ok I managed to get the bulkhead moving by loosening off the whole front end and got it more or less where it wants to be.
However the doors look to low so run a string line from the bulkhead to the rear of the tub and the tub is sitting high at the front. Now I fitted rubbers under it when there was none before and also there has been some repairs under the new cross members which I never fitted. So how do I pull the front of the tub down? I'm thinking remove the rubbers and maybe just put a thin rubber strip under there instead where it touches the chassis.

Norrie .
