I have bought some LED's for the interior. All it says is dashboard instrument cluster bulbs but there are 26 of them varying in size.

Can anyone tell me where they go please?

Vehicle is a Discovery 1 N plate 1997

And please...no comments about how you fitted them and they were crap / didn't work / didn't last long etc etc as I've had all that on Facebook...if you can't help then please don't comment

Thank you

Didn't know so many bulbs are used. Maybe they have given u a few spares :)
Perhaps the length of and colour the light from the bulb will give a you clue to their positions.

You do realise that there's no dimming function with those bulbs even if the D1 had that facility.

Yeah I know but I don't have a dimmer anyway unless the bulbs blow.

Not sure about the amount to be honest. Hence me asking where they go.

@Pootz
From memory, 1&2 are for the instruments, speedo, tacho, water, fuel and the actual binnacle illumination, 3,4 & 5 are for the individual warning lamps like the tell tale on the indicators, oil pressure warning light, diff lock light, battery warning light etc and 6 is for the binnacle switch illumination, the switches down the sides of the instrument binnacle will have individual lamps for the switch and a brighter lamp as an indicator to tell you that it is on.

Does that make sense?

Cheers
Sort of makes sense lol. Once it's apart I can match it up with what you just said.

I thought some might be for the heater controls and window switches...any ideas what I need for them?

There could be a couple in there for the heater console but I don't know what kit you ordered so couldn't possible say for sure, you can always pull them apart to find out which ones they are.

Were there no instructions?

What about the sellers description?

Not really sure why you lot on FakeBook bother with any of the Land Rover pages, I tried them for a month and the first week I saw the same question at least 20 times, green laning and off road groups are ok but that is about it, much prefer forums, at least you can search the answers out here, FakeBook you will see it once and never find it again I found.
PS

Please don't take this the wrong way but you are better off going to Halfords or your local motor factors for the bulbs and keeping your receipt, they look like and eBay or Amazon special kit of bulbs, if they fail quickly then you have no redress and typically what will happen is that you'll just write them off because they were cheap, I only buy my loose LEDs from Halfords now, no quibble, they just replace them and print me out a new receipt to cover the new 12 month warranty.

Yeah I've noticed that about Facebook.

No instructions with them and the description was vague

Because the above link states Blue bulbs I assume you're just replacing the background illumination for the panel which is presently Green.
Why u would intend to replace the dash warning lights I haven a clue, they are coloured Red, Orange, Blue etc for a purpose, anyway best of luck with that as they are capped i.e. they have a base and are very small, all the bulbs that u have are capless, perhaps dieseldog69 can throw some additional light on that one. :)

There's is a couple of photos in the D1 Haynes Manual showing the position of the dash bulbs.

This is why I presumed some were for the heater controls and switches as there seems a lot of bulbs for just the instrument cluster
