Hi,
I'm currently fixing the wiring and lighting on our 1977 S3 Diesel instrument cluster. There is no lighting at all on the 3-in-1 guage (fuel/water/charge) as someone in the past has seemingly removed the bulb and holder - leaving just the hole in the back of the guage.
The 1st spade connector on the panel lights toggle goes to the speedo light bulb via a single red-with-white-tracer wire, which works fine. The same someone in the past seems to have reused the 2nd spade connector coming from the panel lights toggle switch to go elsewhere (exactly where is to be determined), but I'm assuming that this should actually be going to the back of the 3-in-1 via a similar red-with-white-tracer.
My question is: What type of bulb holder do I need for the back of the 3-in-1? It doesn't look to be the same style as the one in the speedo - for a start the hole is not as wide and is more of a shaft rather than a simple hole in the casing.
Thanks
