So you parked it on the road instead of a drive-way? Also, admitting to illegal plate swapping, not the best idea.

No but then I don't have any threads about chopping up the outside and then carving out the inside. There's a reason there's a lot more threads about restoring them these days than there are about cutting them up.

Hey Biglad it's your car do what you want with it, but the bit about the number plate is a bit daft to put on here in plain sight. Be careful on sharp corners or you may wish you had fitted a roll cage..

Indeed, it's your car and you are entitled to do what you want with it. it's not my particular taste for a classic, but then it's not my RR!


To be perfectly honest, even though it's not my taste, i can see that it has potential for where it sits and the cost and effort you have put into it..

as for the advice on what to do next and the direction of of your project, you're pretty much close to it being an icelandic type expedition vehicle. so in your shoes, i'd go in that direction for either repainting in the OEM blue, or even white, getting the interior looking spot on

then i think you'll have something which will be a real head turner.. something like this...

That's looks superb, I'm not really a conventional type of person I like to be a little different and that's deffinitally different to what everyone around my area has

I have to be honest say it does. I would think that something like that would definitely fetch a premium in terms of value.

The thing is with range rovers, being from the luxury end of the market i think that benefit from quality retention (if that can ever be said about british cars!)

My classic i'm putting back to OEM, but will probably have a couple adjustments in there to improve it. Like with that Glacier tourer in the picture, I'm sure that no matter what variation is done its a high quality work and finishes that retains the essence of the car. something held together with string and duct tape doesnt cut it, but look at what holland and holland's go for !
