Well I have searched the forum and the first culprit is the infamous UJ

So I set about changing both UJ's on the front prop shaft. All in all not too bad a job for someone with the mechanical skills of a PG tips chimp.

The nasty noises are gone along with the massive clunk when taking up drive ( there is an occasional small clunk but as far as ive read they all do it )

Here's the culprit

There were no bearings in two of the four and rust encrusted nearly dry needles in the other.

Looking forward to my next little mission. A full fluid change :)
