Buckingham Ford

Hey guys,

I've been told that there is a ford in Buckingham that you can drive through, yet I cannot find anything about it on the internet. Has anyone heard for it, or know where it is please?

A rare town centre ford in grave danger! Buckinghamshire council want it walled off and forgotton about.

'It is still usable but 4x4s only. Nasty concrete lip on one side. Parked cars are often found blocking both approach roads, I have tried many times to use the ford but have been unable to get to it ! On this occasion I had to turn round on the side with the lip and go back the way I hade come.' Image 2 sent in by David Holme

Long way to go for a single ford that might or might not be accessible Jai. Don't know of any other lanes over that way do you?

well it isnt a million miles from whaddon

but no, the nearest lanes to it as far as i know would be the herts / bucks border lanes

Speaking of whaddon, anyone going tomorrow?

these pics were taken yesterday of the ford in buckingham, access to it can be a bit of a problem at times due to parked cars as its quite close to the town centre.

So i did go to have a look at it, and yes it was blocked... so i went to the market nere by.. so it wasnt a waisted trip but still a bit dissapointed

back in the first picture,looks like the roof of a lesser 4x4 such as a vitara

theres a couple of fords out near me,at middle barton, nothing majorly fantastical, but stil wet none the less

Obviously a very old post but stumbled upon it so if anyone is still watching, as said Whaddon is near by. There are also a couple of lanes not far away near Silverstone. Banbury Lane near Morton Pinkney is quite good but thereally are TORs
