Only option from bbs for freelander 1 is the faultmate msv 2 and this is locked to the vin.

Can anyone confirm what output test lynx has on the abs module? does it do power bleed, can you activate each brake in turn etc.

The Faultmate can have another 2 VIN's added for not a lot and of course you can get the unlocked version if you can afford it.
It's the best diagnostic around for LR IMO

I agree seems to be the most indepth, lynx seems vauge at present no real info on what outputs it can do...but bbs is vin locked. What happens if I change vehicle? Do I have to pay again or can I swap my vin for the new one foc? I did ask bbs about this and so far they have gone quite?

You can certainly add an extra VIN, last time I looked that was about £50. Not sure about swapping the VIN for a change of car, may just be an admin fee, but will be no more than adding a second VIN. The locked version of Faultmate will support 3 different VIN's. Mines unlocked so will do all P38's for which I have the software modules.

From what I can make out a single vehicle licence (svc) for a freelander 1 is 179 euro... I presume a new vin change will inccur this cost, hence its gone quiet on the bbs front when I asked the question? Hope im wrong...
