Just read that Britcar have gone/closed up. Website no longer exists. This is a real shame as always found them very helpful/a great supplier :(

Can't help feeling running an actual company didn't agree with she/her

Basically she likes men who campaign while sitting up trees or tarmac their faces to the road or have come here illegally. She also has a preference to men who go on hunger strike because their wheelie bins have not been emptied.
Allegedly
By men you mean WOmen?

Christ, with a C.V. like that it's no wonder the business went tits up / no chance of that C.V. saving a loss making business; Covid or no Covid. Unless of course it runs in the family, family running a retail business on debt and most likely over stocking slow volume product rather than concentrating on what brings in the profit. At end of the day, a business is about one thing only...sustainable profit. No profit, no business.

In other news, have pre-warned London this C.V. is heading their way

eta - have just read her tw*tfeed, looks like a typical case of the blind leading the blind...with added queer factor. Not an unattractive girl but her online guff reads like millennial woke sh!t in extremis.

Hi v8250 and others.... I tried to find any stuff on 'Britcar' to Landy forum but none... so did place a thread myself - 'Is Britcar of Ipswich - Gone bust...!' 2day.
As I've been buying from them for the past 3 to 4 years, real shame always good service and found that odd part too also had a discount account too, which helped.... just received my last order of bits a week ago but a few 'Brit-part' items not up to scratch... en their revamped/ New website went tits-up very soon it came online.... was a tell-tail... Not many good suppliers of Land Rover parts around at reasonable prices. Hey-oh, cheers

Britcar were one of the good retailers. But there in lies the problem...it's retail and margins are always tight, especially with low cost components from others suppliers and buyers [Landy owners!!] often buying at lowest price; it's a constant downward spiral. I've seen this happen many times before within the classic car world but not as often as with Land Rovers. LR's have a reputation for constant breakdowns and cheap Chinese grade tin type parts + so many Landy owners prefer buying glossy accessory type add-ons and really, the LR reseller market is over crowded :. there's bound to be some retailers lost to non-viable business.

We're being a bit harsh on them. They have been trading for many years successfully. Supply of parts and rising costs can easily catch peeps out. With peeps travelling less and working from home, there's a potential for fewer orders across all part suppliers. Add in some possible virus and br*xit problems and you get more difficult trading conditions. Its no surprise they owe money. Most companies trade using accounts. Cash flow is king. Run out of cash flow and its over. Its a shame to lose another company but getting themselves out of the difficulty they were in, may have been too greater a problem to solve.

Absolutely gutted to hear this. They were about the only place that provided a vast selection of brands for each part number. Customer service was always top notch too!

Real shame!
