I dont give a flying youknowwhat about their warranty when the condensor dies on me about 800mi from the next shop where I can get replacement (read: Germany).
There's no lucas service kit. Buy condensor and points, britpart oil filter, sparking plugs. I don't change the inline fuel filter if its not dirty.

It's nice they have a 2 year warranty. Good for springs and such.
But I'm not sure whether they will honour it. Have been told to **** off too often.

Yeah like i said don't shoot the messenger.
by the way the springs i got of theirs were a load of sagging ****e, thats one of the reasons they not on my christmas card list.

any opinions on their shocks?? std or heavy duty?
are armstrongs much better/different?

Britpart don’t actually manufacture anything, they just put out batches of products to tender and the cheapest company wins, this is the issue.

I would not buy any braking parts from them as a matter of principle – I will always buy good parts, seal kits and things are cheap anyway, so I will get Lockheed seals. I guess in general anything that has a seal I won’t buy, hub seals, clutch cylinders – again cheap enough for OEM.

I bought an indicator/hi low beam stalk from them the hi beam flash function has failed, I bought a hazard switch, it never worked, I spent a long time detailing exactly how the flash circuit works and how the switch works and discovered the switch terminals were the wrong way round, I ended up fixing my old one! So I will not buy switches electrical devices with workings more complicated than a light fitting.

I will buy the Discovery repair sections, the steel is not of the same gauge and the panels often need tweaked but they are quite cheap and one welded in and painted well they will be fine.

I think you need to balance up safety, longevity and price. Often longevity is important to me so I will buy the best parts I can find, also I am very keen on only doing a job once especially if it’s a lengthy process to replace the part.

just got my stuff from paddocks, asked for Armstrong shocks not Britpart, guy says "cant promise", guess what.... actually got all 4 Armstrongs!
Britpart handbrake shoes look ok,
