hi there!

i have recently purchased a freelander and discovered a brake light has gone.

went to the shop and bought a bulb and then went to fit it, but am having some trouble getting to the bulb.

thought i would just move the trim and see the bulb...but no. i now for the life of me cannot see how to get it out? help please

top job, welcome to the world of freelander maintenance and repair where even the simple is unexplainable.

if it's the one above the spare wheel, simply drop the window to undo the screws or use a stubby screwdriver.

if it's one of the bumper mounted ones, simply undo the screws and away you go.

if it's the fogs or reverse lights, just undo the torx screws and remove the light cluster. If you haven't got torx bits, the right size screwdriver can be wedged in to undo.

good luck and welcome to loonyzone

thanks.

after finally working out i had the wrong cluster of lights i got to it :) it was a learning curve!

i took of the protector and then found the screw lurking at the bottom of the bracket and it all became clear.

i now have brilliant bright new break lights :)
