Hi

Its been a while. I posted a hello a few weeks back but have only recently found my freelander. Its a 2002 td4 3 door. It was cheap so I expected there to be some fixing to do... (partner unimpressed that I didnt test drive it first ) however, its here & it simply needs an ird and viscous coupling . Partner has removed the prop shaft to check it all out and believes he can do the work himself with an extra pair of hands. Question is, & I know its been discussed before on various threads, can anyone recommend where to buy these parts (re-conditioned) ??
Feel free to mock me on my lack of test drive but if you do I would like some friendly advice in return :p

I saw this on ebay but was hoping to find a re-conditioned one for half that price. I see from other postings that you are a bit of an expert in this field :D, do you not recommend second hand parts?? The coupling is about the price we expected. Thanks

i dont think there too cheap - i think the recon ones are about half the price.

i think your mistaking me with "hippo" also on here ;)

Whilst you've got your partner in his scrubs, make sure you get him to give it a decent service as well. Them Td4's like a service :) (gogo check cyclone filter :) )

Yer be needing this then. Right click un select "save pic as..." to save to yer phooter.

ere Hippoo - yu gorra copy of tech bulletin 0052?
Shorry no. Was looking on the web for it earlier. GTR has it, but that costs money. Did have a look in rave but I've got the 2001 copy. Think it will be in the newer (2006 praps) copy?
