Hello All,
got a new bonnet sealing and was wondering if it's just to take the old one off and put the new one in or if I'd need some special glue for it?

Really? I've never known anyone replace the bonnet seal.

No glue needed, as it's held on with clips IIRC.

Yes, the oil filler cap area was again full of water and there was humidity in between the bonnet and the sealing. As it looked flat I thought that's where the water came in. Today I've seen evaporation under the bonnet even though I haven't driven it in the last days. Last timecwhen you said to give it a run due to the white smoke.
Not needed to change that? Where else can that what be from? It looks if there is water drops under the oil filler cap.

The oil filler area gets wet from water comes in under the windscreen washer jet. Or sometimes the pipe to the jet leaks, so the oil filler fills with washer fluid instead. ;)

There's no way water could get to the engine from the scuttle seal, as water would simply drip down the bulkhead. However the bonnet hangs well over the heater intake vents anyway , so that's where it drains.

I checked the wiper pipes etc. as well and they looked good. Haven't recognised it before.

Guess I'll send it back then. Thanks.

Spray some water from a hose at the washer jet on the outside, and you'll see water will come underneath.

Mine used to do it, but sealed it with a small amount of silicone grease on the underside of the jet seal.
