Having a dry Saturday and a forecast of no rain for the next few days (first time in a long time) I thought I'd start to do something about the cosmetics of my S3. It looks pretty rough and has obviously been abused offroad over the years. So I thought some filler, fresh paint and removal of the horrible bits stuck to it by the PO should do as a start. Its dented to sh!t but I'm not too concerned about that, still a bit of filler in the major ones won't hurt.
This is her as I got her, not sure about the spots, bar, cages for lights and general tired paintwork.
Removed spots, bar and cages. Painted grill black (all trim is gonna be black).
This wing was quite dented, sanded it off
Filled and flatted back (not the best job but not bad for first ever go!)
Test painted some of my newly acquired olive NATO paint with a brush, roller is the way forwards for the rest of the car.
Hammerite front bumper
and rear chassis section
Still a way to go though and this is by no means gonna look perfect, just better than before.
cheers
