Ok starting a rebuild on a 95 disco. The chassis is mint but going to clean it up etc. Anyway the dody work is good but the bottom of the doors and boot are a little corroded. Im thinking about a body lift and arches so it might be a case off cutting off some of the doors. But what is the best way if any to repair the doors etc?

The doors are Ally Skin on a steel inner frame, not a good combination when wet. Avoid using filler as it will swell & blister in no time.Try get some good second hand doors from scrappy

I was worried that would be the only answer! Is there anything else I can do? I have seen alot of people with checkered plate alont the bottom of the doors. Is it possible to cut away and put the plate on over the top? Its going to end up expensive to get all new doors as part of the rebuild.

If you are concerned you can do the whole rub down and paint thing.

I'd just pop rivet the chequer plate on and paint the plate if required. Be sure to get a chequer plate set "cut from the same sheet" so that the patterns line up.
