I have a spare one as I was sent two (god knows why) its yours for a fiver plus postage if you are still after one, easy to fit and is definitely a fit and forget job. It was the first job i did after buying my Hippo TD4.
Can someone just clarify for me the terms crank case breather and Pcv are they the same thing? So by replacing my original filter for the the BMW cyclone type am I changing my pcv?!! Thanks ! :-/
Hi Guys,
Eventually I got it changed. Thanks a lot for your help. Here is a photo of the old one. Could it be that it has more power again now? Anyone reckoned that?
Btw, forgot to mention that it clicked in, no new groove on my '02 one needed.
Kind regards
Matthias
Bit of thread resurrection here but, for much cheapness from ebay, will this do my TD4...?

Just trying to get all the wee annoying jobs knocked off.
I wondered why it was cheap. That's only half of the breather system.
oh dear that the is only bit I changed I take it you mean the top part ? is it imperative this be changed as well? That's only half of the breather system.
I thought I read further up the thread that the top part is the same...?oh dear that the is only bit I changed I take it you mean the top part ? is it imperative this be changed as well?

My Brother in law is a LR mechanic, he mentioned changing the filter for the BMW cyclone part before I end up with a con-rod through the block. Where is the PC Valve in relation to the filter...?That is the separator which replaces the fluffy cotton real filter.
It's advisable to change the PCV valve at the same time.
see pic ..Where is the PC Valve in relation to the filter...?
